DETAILS:
After completing a new strategic plan in 2022, we are calling on you––valued members of our community––to engage in a discussion about the future of our organization and the issues facing our professional lives in the art industry at large.
Since 2008, we have dedicated our efforts to community, education, transparency and professional advancement. Now we are embarking on a new chapter for our organization––one which sees us further advocating for lasting industry-wide change. Our goal is not only to advocate for the professional advancement of our members, but also the creation of healthier and more diverse workplaces. We encourage you to bring your hopes, fears, questions, and concerns to the table as we seek to open a dialogue about how we can move towards a better art world.
During this event we will be sharing a short presentation of our new strategic plan, vision and goals for POWarts. The plan takes into consideration and incorporates feedback we received from you––gathered from survey results and one-on-one conversations. Following the presentation, moderator Sara Cascone, Senior Writer for artnet News, will lead us in a Town Hall style conversation with the goal of building strategies and solutions for members to actualize a more equitable industry in their day-to-day.
We are counting on your support and presence for this important conversation, and we encourage you to attend in person if you are able. We understand that circumstances don’t always allow in-person attendance, and will be offering digitally moderated Zoom access for those who can’t be present that evening. Members are encouraged to bring a guest who could benefit from being a part of this important conversation and community.
